Livermore, Calif., February 21, 2007 ― Puronics, Incorporated, which acquired the Ionics Consumer Water Group in January of 2006, has consolidated its manufacturing facilities at a new, state-of-the art plant in Livermore, Calif. Ionics previously manufactured its products at a Canonsburg, Penn., plant.
“We’re excited to have this new facility up and running,” said Scott Batiste, chairman and CEO of Puronics. “It’s ideal for manufacturing our high quality water technology products. Plus, having manufacturing and headquarters under one roof will further boost our efficiency.”
The new facility can produce more than 200,000 water systems per year.
Puronics is a leader in water technology. It makes a broad range of water treatment products for homes and businesses using technologies such as water conditioning, filtering, micro-filtration, ultra filtration, bacteriostatic carbon filtration, reverse osmosis and ultra violet disinfection.
At the same time Puronics moved manufacturing to their new facility, it also opened up a new distribution center in Cincinnati, Ohio to serve its East Coast dealers.
“We are investing in our growth through these new facilities and by initiating new dealer support programs,” Batiste said. “We offer the market important, distinct product benefits like the only stainless steel system in the industry that meets NSF standards and also uses bacteriostatic technology to inhibit bacteria buildup on the media bed.”
Puronics, Incorporated, headquartered in Livermore, Calif., is a water technology company with a diversified manufacturing and financial services operation. It is focused on solving the world’s water problems for consumers and businesses. For more information, visit www.puronics.com.
